Position Summary:

Security Guards and Event Staff are responsible for providing and maintaining a secure and safe environment for the Tulsa State Fair. This position involves direct interaction with the public and requires strong customer service and communication skills. Security Guards help ensure a safe, smooth and friendly guest experience. Security Guards will be at key security locations near entrances and high traffic areas.

Primary Duties & Objectives:

• Provide security and event staff duties for Entrance Gates, Oklahoma Stage, Disney On Ice, Livestock areas and other venues associated with the Tulsa State Fair
• Provide general information about fair events, ticket options, schedules, and venue locations
• Assist guests and resolve inquiries in a professional, friendly manner
• Maintain a friendly, clean and safe working environment for guests and co-workers
• Assist guests with pertinent information during inclement weather or security related incidents
• Respond to security related incidents and complete incident reports regarding the response
• Work in cooperation with Law Enforcement to make the Tulsa State Fair a safe and fun environment
• Follow all operational policies and procedures
• May perform other duties as assigned

Abilities & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• CLEET certification is required for certain positions
• Must have a valid Driver’s License if assigned to drive a golf cart
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor when assisting the public
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high guest volume
• Must wear uniform provided

Supervision:

• Reports to Security Management
